When a formula, a default value, a worked example or a tech step on this site turns out to be wrong, it is fixed and the change is recorded here. If you spot an error, send the page’s address and what you saw through the contact page.

How a correction is handled

• The calculation is repeated by hand with the page’s formula and with an independent check.
• If the page is wrong, the formula, the worked example and the calculator are corrected together, and the change is listed below with its date.
• While a calculator is being checked it may be switched off. Its formula and worked example stay on the page.
