How to Hide or Unhide NFTs on OpenSea Profile

Guide 10-30250 · Updated · Step by step

OpenSea lets you curate which NFTs appear on your public profile. Hiding an NFT removes it from your profile view while keeping it in your wallet, and unhiding brings it back. This guide walks you through both actions on the OpenSea website.

What You’ll Need

  • An OpenSea account (logged in)
  • The NFT you want to hide/unhide must be in the wallet connected to your OpenSea profile
  • A web browser (desktop recommended; steps differ slightly on mobile)

Step-by-Step

Hide an NFT on Your Profile

  1. Go to your profile – Log in at opensea.io and click your profile icon (top right), then select “Profile” from the dropdown.
  2. Find the NFT – Scroll through your “Collected” tab or use the search bar to locate the specific NFT you want to hide.
  3. Open the NFT’s detail page – Click on the NFT to open its individual page.
  4. Click the three-dot menu – On the NFT’s page, look for a “…” (three dots) icon near the top right, usually next to the “Buy” or “Sell” buttons.
  5. Select “Hide” – From the dropdown menu, choose “Hide.” A confirmation pop-up will appear.
  6. Confirm the action – Click “Hide” again in the pop-up. The NFT will disappear from your public profile immediately.

Unhide an NFT on Your Profile

  1. Go to your profile – Same as above: profile icon → Profile.
  2. Open the “Hidden” tab – On your profile page, click the “Hidden” tab (usually located next to “Collected” or under the “More” dropdown).
  3. Find the NFT – Browse or search within the Hidden tab to locate the NFT you want to unhide.
  4. Open the NFT’s detail page – Click on the NFT to go to its page.
  5. Click the three-dot menu – Same as before, find the “…” icon.
  6. Select “Unhide” – Choose “Unhide” from the menu. Confirm if prompted. The NFT will reappear on your public profile under “Collected.”

Common Mistakes

  • Hiding the wrong NFT – Double-check the NFT’s name and image before confirming. Once hidden, it’s easy to lose track, especially if you have many.
  • Expecting the NFT to be removed from your wallet – Hiding only affects your OpenSea profile display. The NFT stays in your connected wallet and can still be transferred or sold.
  • Using the “Report” option instead of “Hide” – Reporting flags content to OpenSea; it doesn’t hide it from your profile. Make sure you choose “Hide.”
  • Forgetting to check the “Hidden” tab – If you can’t find an NFT, it might already be hidden. Always check the Hidden tab first.

Tips

  • Use hidden for curation – Hide NFTs you don’t want visitors to see, like test mints or low-quality items, to make your profile look cleaner.
  • Hidden is reversible – You can unhide any time, so don’t worry about permanent changes.
  • Mobile app – On the OpenSea mobile app, the steps are similar but the three-dot menu may be at the bottom of the screen. Look for a “…” icon.
  • Bulk hiding – OpenSea doesn’t offer a bulk hide option on the profile page. You must hide each NFT individually.
  • Hidden NFTs still appear in your wallet – If you check your wallet on Etherscan or a similar explorer, the NFT is still there. Hidden is purely a display setting on OpenSea.

Troubleshooting

  • “Hide” option not showing – Make sure you are logged in with the correct wallet that owns the NFT. If you’re viewing a different wallet’s profile, you won’t see the hide option.
  • NFT still visible after hiding – Refresh your profile page. Sometimes the change takes a few seconds to reflect. Also clear your browser cache if it persists.
  • Can’t find the Hidden tab – On some profile layouts, the Hidden tab is under a “More” dropdown. Look for a “More” button next to “Collected.”
  • Unhide doesn’t work – If you click “Unhide” and nothing happens, try logging out and back in, or use a different browser. If the issue continues, contact OpenSea support.
  • NFT is not in your profile at all – If you don’t see the NFT in “Collected” or “Hidden,” it might be in a different wallet. Switch wallets in OpenSea to the correct one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hiding an NFT remove it from my wallet?

No. Hiding only affects your OpenSea profile display. The NFT remains in your wallet and can be transferred, sold, or viewed on other platforms.

Can other people see my hidden NFTs?

No. Hidden NFTs are only visible to you (when logged in) and do not appear on your public profile. However, anyone can see them on the blockchain if they know the wallet address and look up the transaction.

Can I hide an NFT I don’t own?

No. You can only hide NFTs that are in your connected wallet and displayed on your profile. You cannot hide NFTs from other users’ profiles.

Is hiding an NFT the same as delisting it from sale?

No. Hiding removes it from your profile view. Delisting (canceling a listing) stops it from being sold on OpenSea. They are separate actions.

How do I unhide all my hidden NFTs at once?

OpenSea does not currently offer a “unhide all” button. You must unhide each NFT individually from the Hidden tab.

Will hiding an NFT affect its price or rarity?

No. Hiding has no effect on the NFT’s metadata, rarity, or market value. It’s purely a display preference on your profile.
